What we've been doing in class

Year 3 have written letters to the residents of Alderwood Care Home! We hope they enjoy reading them!

Year 3 enjoying practising their jumping skills in PE!

Today the children have enjoyed doing a bit of drama in preparation to writing our own playscripts.

World Book Day 2023!

Drumz Aloud!

We had a fantastic DT day making vegetable tarts. We learnt how to cut with a knife safely, grate vegetables and make a tart. Some of us found them delicious whereas others didn't enjoy them!

This week we have written our own shape poems all about snakes. We then performed our poems to the class. They were fantastic!

We have really enjoyed using iMovie to create our own book trailers!

We had a brilliant day creating our Egyptian collars that reflected our personalities! We learnt some new skills and overcame some challenging barriers when making them but they turned out fantastic!

Year 3 have thoroughly enjoyed learning about Ancient Egypt and have produced some amazing projects reflecting their knowledge! Well done year 3!

We thoroughly enjoyed watching a theatre company perform a play about Egyptians. We learnt so many interesting facts!

In science we have been learning about magnets and forces. We learned that magnets can act at a distance and made our own mazes to test this theory.

The boys had a fantastic afternoon at the Cliff playing in a football tournament. They came in second place and were beaten by a three goal, goal difference. 

In computing we have enjoyed using scratch to make our own animations.
