Events in school

Whole school work on well being.

We loved celebrated Hello Yellow day in school. This year we focused on how important it is to talk about our feelings. We took part in activities in class and talked about the little things and the big things with lots of our classmates. We also took part in ITV's Get Britain Talking campaign and took home some special homework, which was all about talking to our parents and carers about our feelings.

Children's Mental Health Week 2023

We all had a fantastic week celebrating Children's Mental Health Week in school. We listened to the story 'My Many Coloured Days' by Doctor Seuss and created art work based on colours and our emotions.

Our wellbeing buddies were very busy all week, providing activities at playtime and giving out information in the playground after school. Some of the classes enjoyed yoga sessions during the week too.

Hello Yellow Day 2022

On Thursday 7th October, we celebrated Hello Yellow Day in school. We wore yellow to highlight the importance of looking after our mental health.

We were visited by the fantastic Pop Project who sang songs with us, showed us how to meditate and got us up dancing. In our classes we took part in activities based on positive self-talk.

It was a fantastic day and a great addition to our PHSE work on mental health.
