Planting
As part of our topic work we planted seeds this week. The children had been learning about the names of the different parts of the plant and the functions of each part. They then looked at the life cycle of a plant and how to care for a plant. When planting the seeds, the children thought about what a plant will need to grow. Once we had planted the seeds we then transferred the plants to outdoors so they could get water and sunlight, we watched them growing and talked about how they had changed.
