Sensory Experience

This half term we have been learning about and talking about 'Special Places'. We talked about how some places have a certain look, smell, sound, taste and feel to them and that at times we can be reminded of these 'Special Places'.

This week we read the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' and we went on a sensory walk. We decided if we wanted to do this in our bare feet or by using our hands. A lot of us decided to do it in our bare feet including Miss Bailey. We walked along various surfaces which gave us a sense of place, each with a different feel and different purpose.  Afterwards, we talked about how it felt to walk on the different surfaces and where else in the outside world would feel the same.
