Book bag and reading folder

Please place your child's completed homework, reading record and reading book / material in their clear folder. You may also wish to put in any party invitations or notes. 

Please ensure these are sent into school each day. Every morning your child is reminded to independently take out their folder from their book bag and place into the basket. These are then checked by a member of staff. 

Please try to empty your child's folder as often as possible and keep any belongings that are not needed for school at home.

Homework and Reading

Homework will be set every Friday and needs to be returned by the following Friday. Once your child's homework is completed please place it into the clear folder that your child has been provided with.

Each week your child will receive some form of reading material. Please read as regularly as possible with your child and sign in the reading record once you have done so. 

Your child will read twice a week in school with a member of staff who will also sign their reading record.

Library Book

Reception's library day is Thursday. 

Every Thursday afternoon, the children will go to the school library with Miss Parkinson and will independently choose a library book.

Unfortunately, if your child does not return their library book on a Thursday they will be unable to choose a new one.

We politely ask that should any library books be lost, that £5 be paid to cover the cost of a replacement book.

P.E Kit

P.E kit includes navy blue shorts, white polo shirt and black pumps. 

P.E. is taught every Friday and the children's P.E. kits will be sent home to be washed at the end of each half term. 

Please ensure every single piece of your child's P.E. kit and school uniform is labelled to prevent any confusion when getting changed.
