Smithills Farm

Our nursery class had a wonderful day visiting Smithills farm! The children enjoyed an exciting bumpy tractor ride to feed the donkeys some bread and loved getting up close to lots of friendly animals. They had the chance to gently hold fluffy chicks and soft rabbits, stroke baby goats and llamas and even met some fascinating reptiles, including a Hermann tortoise and a snake. It was a fantastic hands-on experience full of smiles, curiosity and confidence-building, as the children explored and learnt about the different animals. We enjoyed our yummy packed lunches together and the children had the opportunity to have a ride on the donkeys.
